I’m Anna Schatte, an Austin-based actress, writer, and filmmaker focused on character-driven comedy.
As an actor, I’ve appeared on AMC’s The Son and in Alejandro Montoya’s Monday, part of Robert Rodriguez’s Rebel Without a Crew docu-series. Indie credits include Titty Boy, Oracle, Roles We Play, and Rebecca, with upcoming starring roles in Katie Jewett’s Hot No Start and Vered Rodriguez’s True Addiction.
I write and produce original shorts, pop-culture parodies, and branded work with Austin production company Various Characters. My work has been featured by TIME, People, and Alamo Drafthouse’s cult-favorite pre-shows.
My debut feature screenplay Pleasant Child was a Silver Winner at the 2025 Southwest Film Festival Screenplay Competition and a finalist at Austin Film Festival, The Script Lab, and ScreenCraft Film Fund.
My short comedy Man-Child premiered at Austin’s Hyperreal Film Club. I’m currently developing my debut feature Not About Him, a female-led indie comedy set in Austin, with production planned for 2026.
When I’m not working, I’m usually with my senior dachshund, Bazooka, or convincing myself that reality TV counts as research.
